FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, October 25, 2016

Branson, Mo. Taney County Partnership recently launched a new website and home to its workforce initiative, OnPoint. The new website features a mobile responsive, interactive job search platform to help local employers connect to talent both within and outside the Branson market. The website (www.onpointmo.com) is user-friendly and a no-cost option for employers to post job openings in Taney and Stone counties. The site is also provided at no cost for potential candidates and job seekers to create an account, view opportunities, and post resumes.

The website was created to function as a convenient tool for potential candidates to view Branson area jobs posted to OnPoint as well as Indeed and Career Builder, all in one job search feed. The Career Finder also allows candidates to upload multiple resumes, bookmark jobs of interest, apply to opportunities with one-click methods, and pass along job opportunities using social share buttons.

“The OnPoint Career Finder offers a variety of innovative features and interactive functionality that we hope helps employers and job seekers to connect to one another and tell better stories,” said Heather Hardinger, Programs and Communications Director of Taney County Partnership. “The website also contains a wealth of information to help educate employers about resources in the community and Ozark region that can help them attract talent and fill jobs and also provides connection points and information for potential candidates of all ages to put their best foot forward.”

In addition to the website, Taney County Partnership enlisted Swagbot of Springfield, Mo. to create a video to introduce visitors and those outside the market to the quality of life and vast opportunities that the Branson area has to offer. According to Jonas Arjes, Executive Director of Taney County Partnership, the demand for talent in the areas of Healthcare, Arts and Entertainment as well as Hospitality will exceed 6,000 jobs over the next 10 years, with Healthcare bring the fastest-growing occupation group.

“Competition for talent and workforce continues to increase locally, regionally, statewide and nationally,” said Arjes.  “The new website provides employers, and those seeking employment, an opportunity to differentiate themselves and the new video platform begins to tell the story of Taney County as a great place to live, work and invest.”

The talent attraction video can be used as a tool by recruiters to introduce potential candidates to the idea of Branson.  The video can be viewed and shared at www.vimeo.com and can also be found on www.taneycountypartnership.com/livehere and www.onpointmo.com/livehere. Community members are encouraged to support these efforts by sharing the video to Facebook and Twitter via a Thunderclap social media blitz campaign at bit.ly/TaneyMO by Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m.
