The Greater Ozarks Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (GO CAPS) is accepting applications for the 2017-18 school year until February 28. GO CAPS is a career exploration program for high school juniors and seniors from 14 school districts: Bolivar, Branson, Hollister, Logan-Rogersville, Marshfield, Monett, Nixa, Ozark, Reeds Spring, Republic, Spokane, Springfield, Strafford and Willard. The program offers four strands of study – Business and Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Manufacturing, Medicine and Health Care, and Technology Solutions – for students to explore.

This is a dynamic learning environment helping students find their passion while connecting them to careers in high need industry fields. Classrooms at Springfield Remanufacturing Corp. (SRC), Mercy Hospital Springfield, CoxHealth Hospitals in Springfield and Branson and The eFactory give GO CAPS students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the business world. Students develop professional skills while receiving exposure to numerous career opportunities in these fields. They also work with business professionals on real-world problems they face to create innovative solutions. In addition, GO CAPS students have numerous job shadowing opportunities with these industry partners.

If you know an incoming junior or senior, be sure to share this opportunity with them. We will host a student and parent open house for all strands on Monday, February 13 from 6 – 7 p.m. at The eFactory located at 405 N. Jefferson. More information can be found at www.springfieldchamber.com/gocaps.
